// MossMint is an offline meal planner that turns your week of meals into one sorted grocery list.
[01] Information collected // inputs
None. The app has no registration, no login, no contact form, and no server to send anything to. The only text you ever type — your display name, a custom grocery item, a pantry staple — is written to local storage on your device and read back by the app itself.
[02] Local storage // on-device
Kept in OS-level local storage on your device, never uploaded:
- Your display name and chosen avatar colour.
- Your meal plan: which recipe is assigned to which day and meal slot, and for how many servings.
- Your generated grocery list, including ticked-off items and any items you add by hand.
- Your pantry list of staples you already own.
- Your cooking history: which recipe you logged as cooked and on what date, used to draw the streak, charts and badges.
- Your settings: default servings, week start day, unit system, whether pantry items are hidden, and the reduced-motion preference.
- A single first-launch flag that records whether you have seen the intro.
Uninstalling the app deletes every byte.
[03] Permissions // runtime
MossMint requests no runtime permissions. Its Android manifest declares none — no internet, no camera, no location, no microphone, no contacts, no storage — and its iOS Info.plist contains no permission usage descriptions.
[04] Network // egress
MossMint is fully offline. It bundles no networking library, contains no HTTP or socket code, and makes no requests to any server. It will function identically in airplane mode.
[05] Third parties // vendors
No third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDK is integrated. The app uses only open-source Flutter packages that run locally: local storage, charting, and the operating system's own share sheet.
The share feature hands your grocery list (or a short app description) to the system share sheet, which you then choose a destination for — a message, a note, an email. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you pick a destination yourself, and MossMint never sees where it goes.
[06] Children // coppa/gdpr-k
MossMint is safe for all ages and collects nothing, so there is no personal data to protect under COPPA, the GDPR, or GDPR-K. It contains no ads, no in-app purchases, and no external links.
[07] Your rights // you
Because nothing is transmitted, there is nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf. Your data lives only in the app's own storage: deleting the app removes all of it permanently. You can also clear individual items from inside the app — remove a meal from the plan, delete a grocery row, or clear a week.

If this policy changes, the updated field at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes are also noted in the app's release notes.
