PolyTilt
PolyTilt is a single-player reflex-tap arcade game of spinning sun dials. This page explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
PolyTilt does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, no measurement tooling, and no network requests of any kind. Everything the game remembers is stored in its own sandboxed storage on your device.
Information we collect
None. The game never asks for a name, email address, phone number, date of birth, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or location, and it has no field in which any of them could be entered.
The one piece of text you can type — the keeper name on the Standing screen — is a display label of your own choosing. It is written to the device's local storage and read back by the app; it is never sent anywhere.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, PolyTilt stores the following only on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- Campaign progress — which of the sixty dials you have cleared, the stars and best score for each, and how many times you have cleared it.
- Run history — up to the most recent ~120 finished runs (dial number, score, stars, best streak, seals locked, slips, whether it was cleared, the embers awarded and the local timestamp). Older rows are trimmed automatically.
- Lifetime counters — total seals locked, total slips, best streak, best score, flawless clears, runs played.
- Economy state — your ember balance, lifetime embers earned and spent, the daily-offering streak, the day the last offering was claimed, and which permanent relic tiers you own.
- Profile — the keeper name and the avatar mark you picked.
- Preferences — the four readability switches on the Gauges screen and a flag recording that you have seen the first-launch primer.
- Resume pointer — the number of a dial that was left unfinished, so the hub can offer it back.
This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to PolyTilt or to any third party. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes all of it permanently.
Permissions
PolyTilt requests no runtime permissions. The iOS Info.plist contains no usage-description keys, because the app uses no permission-gated capability.
The Android manifest declares android.permission.INTERNET. This permission is unused — it is inherited from the project scaffold and no code in the app opens a network connection. It is declared but never exercised.
Network use
PolyTilt is fully offline. It contains no HTTP client, no socket code, no cloud database client, no remote configuration and no update check. The app functions identically in airplane mode.
The one action that leaves the app is entirely user-initiated: tapping Share standing on the Standing screen hands a short sentence about your progress to your operating system's own share sheet. You then choose the destination — or cancel. PolyTilt does not see, log, or retain what you choose.
Third-party services
None are integrated. PolyTilt ships no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no attribution SDK. Its complete third-party dependency list is a state-management library, a local database library, a local preference library, a number-and-date formatting library, a collection-helpers library, and the platform share-sheet plugin. None of them contact a server.
Children's privacy
PolyTilt is suitable for a general audience. It has no chat, no user-generated content, no purchases of any kind and no way for one player to reach another. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children, and it therefore does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K). No parental consent mechanism is required because there is nothing to consent to.
Your rights
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data from your system settings, deletes all of it permanently. There is no backup and no way to recover it afterwards.
Because all data is local and no personal information is ever collected, there is no account to access, no export to request and no server-side record to erase. You have complete control:
- Change or clear your keeper name and avatar at any time from the Standing screen.
- Delete everything by uninstalling PolyTilt or clearing its app data in your device settings.
